That's why I don't read fan-fics!
I've read most of the ones you guys put up, and they're pretty good. I soooo fell in love with Pitbulllady's "Every Picture has a Story". Cracked up good. Spary's Fics were awesome too! Though I think Pbl stuck to the characters more. Sorry.
But otherwise, yeah, I dun like fan-fics. People wanna write the stuff they like(in most cases, love, depression and demonic stuff, from what I'm used to seeing), and so they take their favorite cartoon show, write a fan-fic about it. This may not be completely true, but that's how I see it.
Yeah, okay, so we are straying into another thread. I'll stop here then.

There was a little heart in the pilot, and I didn't feel that made it lack humor or even encourage more MacxBloo necessarily. That, actually, was what was intended to be the first impression of the show, and so for people like me, I get confused with all the random, make-no-sense humor they throw in now. Yes, sadly, that is what will get the ratings. Like every other pointless animation I'm seeing on Cartoon Network these days. Whether you want to believe it or not, or simply think I'm reading too far into things, the WRITERS seem to be hinting at gayness and other such odd things throughout the show. First example I can think of, is Bloo saying he likes "Perfume Samples". In that same episode, Ed goes skipping out of the kitchen like a girl. In another episode, he wants the pink hair clips. Yeah...what ELSE is that supposed to be hinting at, I wonder? I'm just saying that, just cause someone may be against same sex pairings or anything of that nature, doesn't mean things like that aren't being hinted at. In fact, if you watch Billy/Mandy, you'll see lots of those kind of references too. Just a thought I had. XD Yay for Bloo being a stupid genius. I have to say: I know people want more...Heart-warming scenes in episodes between Mac and Bloo, and hey, it wouldn't hurt me at all! I'd enjoy it. But still, how Bloo acts now is funny, and that's what the writers are shooting for. I guess. There are two things I would feel hesitant about with the "heart-warming scenes": 1. They might be less funny. 2. They'd encourage even more Mac x Bloo stuff. (No offense intended to anyone who's a fan of this pairing, but I find it impossible and extremely out-of-character. That's just me, though....)

I don't mean to be rude at all, but saying that these things imply that the characters are gay is just reinforcing stereotypes of gay people. Even if this is meant to be hinted at, which I sincerely doubt, it's completely moot and irrelevant as Foster's is not meant to contain relationships at all. I'd say it's reading into things a lot if you're simply looking for such hints; and I'm not homophobic or against same-sex relationships; quite the opposite, actually. Just that it seems like you're meaning that it's absolutely impossible for any male -- especially one who is not even human and does not seem to be sexually attracted to anyone or anything (except Frankie; and she's not a guy), to like perfume samples.
"Whether you want to believe it or not, or simply think I'm reading too far into things, the WRITERS seem to be hinting at gayness and other such odd things throughout the show. (Sorry I can't be bothered to use the quote button. xD) Bloo saying he likes perfume samples does not in any way imply that he is gay. If anything, I'd say that Bloo is asexual.
Eduardo is also supposed to be, in a sense, the exact opposite of what he looks like (he looks scary, but is afraid of everything and likes stuffed animals, etc.) I don't feel that this, either, implies that he's homosexual; simply reinforcing his personality as being the polar opposite of what you'd expect from looking at him.
"Yeah...what ELSE is that supposed to be hinting at, I wonder?"
That he's Eduardo. This comment kind of irritates me -- really, what else could he be? He skips like a girl and likes pink, that can't possibly mean anything other than that he's a flamer.
I know I can't change people's opinions on a whim, but please consider this -- Doing and liking traditionally feminine things does not make a guy gay! Having a friend of the same gender does not mean they're both gay! Not everything needs to be made into yaoi!

Basically, I agree with kageri but didn't feel like bothering to say anything on it myself. Lazy and short on time, 'tis I. (Also, just because two people of opposite genders are friends in a fanfic doesn't mean they have to wind up as a couple either. Lol sorry couldn't resist that one.)

Again, no one bothers to read carefully. I understand completely what is being said, but I did state the writers are IMPLYING, as if a hidden double-entendres (sorry if I spelled that wrong), but not that it actually implies the characters are gay or acting that way. I KNOW that is not the actual case.
I KNOW everything is not meant to be yaoi...shouting in my face about it doesn't make your point any more clear.
This is why I really try to refrain from saying I like MacxBloo, I find way too many people against it and quite vehemently. It seems far easier for people to try and go against that then give even one ioda of support, even if only to the benefit of the person who mentioned it.
Well you can all be set in your opinions...I'm set in mine too. I adore MacxBloo, and frankly don't give a d**n whether or not people agree. I'm getting sick of the haters I get (towards me) and well, I don't care anymore.
Oh and one more thing, I actually stated in an earlier post that I am NOT normally into yaoi couples. I just have this adoration for MacxBloo (I could blame Azuretears on fanfiction.net for that one. ^^) and to me, it's a very special pairing, not just an excuse for slash or to get "noticed" in fics. (Whether or not anyone wants to believe that.) Being someone who is a serious HR (Hopeless Romantic), the last thing I care for is lusty, slash-ridden yaoi couples. Not saying that's the case with all yaoi fics, but most are, as I've read. Just an extra two cents of my thoughts there.

And here I must state that I am not "hating" you or the couple or out to get either, and read your post several times. I simply do not believe that the writers of Foster's are implying anything by this because this would mean that homosexuality is the only explanation, and it is not. I respect you and the opinions of other people who like this pairing, but if you feel that you should stop stating your opinions about MacxBloo in public then I can respect that too. I come into these debates expecting to be disagreed with. I merely want to explain my position and hope people can see it, not that I can convert them. I do not feel that my opinions hurt anyone (and I do not actually ream into writers of fanfiction involving MxB; I simply do not read it), nor that I should pretend to like something to benefit someone else. I'm not meaning to offend anyone. These are just my personal opinions. "This is why I really try to refrain from saying I like MacxBloo, I find way too many people against it and quite vehemently. It seems far easier for people to try and go against that then give even one ioda of support, even if only to the benefit of the person who mentioned it." Again, these are only my opinions as to the out-of-character (and "just kinda creepy") aspects of this pairing. I am not against this pairing because it is easy. It is not "easy" to be against something that throngs of fans support. I am not afraid to say that I simply do not like it, and it would be far easier to give rave reviews on fanfics about Mac and Bloo's growing feelings for each other using mostly cat-eared anime emoticons and so on and so forth. These are my opinions, and they are just as legit as anyone elses'. Again (for a second time), I do not state my own opinions on public sites expecting everyone to agree. If I couldn't handle that, I wouldn't be posting it. "Well you can all be set in your opinions...I'm set in mine too. I adore MacxBloo, and frankly don't give a d**n whether or not people agree." I really do not expect to sway anyone to my side in my arguments. I can accept that many people like MxB. I am not going to rip off their fingers frothing at the mouth with crazy eyes, and if I gave that impression then I am sincerely apologetic. "but I did state the writers are IMPLYING, as if a hidden double-entendres (sorry if I spelled that wrong), but not that it actually implies the characters are gay or acting that way" Feel free to call me out on this for being stupid but if neither of those are what they're implying, then what are they implying that has to do with homosexuality? These are the only two things I could think of that they could be implying that would give validity (not to say that they are not "valid" couples, as you can really pair up whoever the hell you want when you're writing a story; by validity I mean plausibility and in-character-ness and etc.) to an FHFIF slash pairing? "I'm getting sick of the haters I get (towards me) and well, I don't care anymore." I don't hate you. I don't even hate the couple. I only find it out-of-character for reasons I have already mentioned. I am not attacking you. I am not even attacking the pairing, or any other FHFIF yaoi pairing. Yaoi is fine. I simply do not like a great deal of these pairings and feel I have the right to say so, and why. "I KNOW everything is not meant to be yaoi...shouting in my face about it doesn't make your point any more clear." That was aimed towards the general public, and I find that forum posters' eyes gravitate towards words that are bold and accompanied by exclamation points!!!!!!!!! At least I didn't use all caps... Anyways, I'm really not as much of a rabid, "MARRIAGE IS FOR A MAN AND A WOMAN NOT A BOY AND AN IMAGINARY FRIEND" Quaker woman as I am seeming to be. For example, things (that I didn't make) like this: i2.tinypic.com/os8i02.jpgAnd even this: i2.tinypic.com/os8h1g.jpgmake me scream and writhe with uncontainable joy.

Those were insanely cute pictures, where did you find them? I have to get over a major cuteness overload attack now....I love the idea of FHFIF characters in anime style! *_*
Kageri, I do appreciate you explaining yourself to me more. It helped me understand better, and I do admit I felt it was a personal attack (so to speak) so now that I know it isn't, I'm not as irritated. In fact, since you are very good at writing and debating, you kind of shut me up. LOL
Back on MacxBloo, I think I can be a bit too passionate about it, and yet, I am certainly not trying to imply that anyone who does not support it is wrong in some way or just being "typical" in their viewpoints. Truth be told, I have gotten a lot of flack about my "Love Unexpected" story, but on the same note, I got a lot of support too. That being said, I should stick with the people who do like it, and not get so mad at those who don't....well not mad really, just irked. I suppose the only real reason I get so irked is because, again, there is an awful lot of people assuming I'm just into the whole yaoi/slash thing and nothing more. No, not me...I write those fics with real love being the focus, and as crazy as the idea seems to some people, it doesn't seem that way to me.
But I digress...
Thanks for your explanations and staying calm with me, I appreciate that.

Thanks and welcome; I'm glad this didn't digress into a "wrestling in the mud as paramedics stand by" type of argument, and now I think I understand your position better as well. On re-reading my previous posts it really does sound like I was trying to target you, and I'm sorry about that. "I suppose the only real reason I get so irked is because, again, there is an awful lot of people assuming I'm just into the whole yaoi/slash thing and nothing more. No, not me...I write those fics with real love being the focus, and as crazy as the idea seems to some people, it doesn't seem that way to me.." I'm a bit guilty of that; I tend to think that only the most slash-obsessed would like MxB and that you'd really have to be grasping at straws to try to rationalize it, but I can see that you really like the pairing and care about the characters and would never try to vandalize and violate their holy glorious names, as some people don't give a thought about doing and as some people like me rant about endlessly to unwilling ears. I can admit that not all stories about pairings I don't like are of the "Main canon male character turns into 'bishie', deals with growing affection for friend, then sprouts wings and flies into the sky as a depressing popular song plays" variety. Almost any pairing can be believable if done right and actually, I think my hangups about MacxBloo are more about Bloo than Mac.... and I actually find the "Mac comforts Frankie about her failed life, Frankie notices Mac has somehow become a rogueishly attractive jock, things happen and Bloo is happy for them" kind less tolerable. Anyways, I suppose I have to my credit the fact that I don't go around giving "UR A SUKY RIGHTER MAX N BLUE RNT GEI!!! OMG!!! k bye ^___^" reviews to fanfics. In fact, I don't read FHFIF slash at all, so I guess what I dislike is only the pairing itself. In conclusion to yet another unnecessarily long post, I'm glad we can understand each other's views better now, and I know you aren't the kind of person that pairs up every guy with every other guy regardless of whether they are best friends or want to kill each other. I want us all here at NF to be pals. bmc.xxxxxxxx.jp/sir.htmlIt's Japanese, but pretty easy to navigate if you can't read it. I'm also pretty sure the artist is pro-MxB, but their interpretation of Bloo is the absolute cutest thing EVER.

OMG that is toooo kawaii! ^.^ I absolutely love that person's art, even the Wilt, Coco, Frankie stuff, all of it There were some real winners like the hug...(poor Mac looked kinda sad), it didn't seem MacxBloo to me necessarily, just like a friend being there in a time of need. (Believe it or not, I don't translate EVERY hug picture into something yaoi when it comes to those two.) I also liked the one with Bloo sprawled out on the floor, doing his cute thing. ::giggle:: That stuff just rocks, love it, love it, love it. (Shows how Bloo should be MORE like in the show, too. I miss that stuff like in the 1st season.) Thanks for the share, Kageri. The way you describe some things made me laugh, you're too funny XD

Thank you, I try to be amusing even though sometimes it ends in the holding of pitchforks and torches and wearing of overalls by other forum members, but hey, I've never been banned before! That's like being able to say you've never been fired from a job, except way less credible and won't do much for your resume. I admit I'm no Bloo Whisperer, but I think that romance is something he is ill-equipped (I mean mentally, but you can interpret that any way you want) to deal with. But even though he's funny, it WOULD be nice to see them being friendly more. I mean, they don't act like enemies or rivals exactly, but I think it could be possible to make a "straight man (NO PUN THERE IS NO PUN HERE)/guy who's going to be locked up wearing orange in a few years but he won't mind because he looks pretty good in orange" friendship look like..... well, a friendship. They did in the beginning! Just because Bloo has an ego the size of the sun doesn't mean he has to treat his friends like crap ALL the time! Also, I found this on someone's blog: i2.tinypic.com/ot46du.gifAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *teeth fall out*

Oh my...I just realized how cute Bloo is when he isn't being devious or something similar! I watched Land of the Flea again last night, and just noticed that he just looks cute sitting there watching TV with a little smile, hugging his knees(well, what would be his knees if he had them).
I'm not saying I have a sudden crush on him or anything...Far from it, actually...Just stating a thought. ^^
