I doubt Frankie ever had an imaginary friend. She's been around them her whole life!
She's been at Foster's since she was a little girl. She cleans up after Imaginary Friends. She cooks for Imaginary Friends. It seems like EVERY friend at Foster's is her very own, each holding a special place in her book.
About her parents: maybe they "dropped her off" at the Madame's place. You know how some parents ship off their kids to boarding schools or other family members; maybe her's sent her to her Grandmother's place. Just a thought.

I love Frankie.
On the surface, Frankie is appealing in every way: she's hot, her ponytail rocks, she's hot, her voice is divine, she's hot, she looks very cool in the green jacket & purple skirt, she's hot, she strikes a great balance between femininity and tomboyishness, she's hot, she's hilarious everytime she throws a fit, she's hot and she's hot. Oh, and she's hot. And NOT in the artificial "blonde with big guns", thank god! Frankie is pure and genuine; somebody who sets a positive example for both potential future female animated characters, and for real-life girls who could use a good role model in a world where image and artificiality is unfortunately more valued than being yourself.
Which brings me to what REALLY makes her so great: her personality. Deep down, beneath her rotten temper and somewhat snarky attitude, is a wonderful girl with a true heart of gold. I admire that she's willing to stick out such a unforgiving job, put up with all sorts of abuse from certain residents(Bloo, Herriman, Goofball and even her GRANDMA at times), rarely get the chance to have any fun, willingly allow herself to be stigmatized by society as "some idiot dork who needs to grow up" and etc--just because she genuinely cares about the imaginary friends. IMO, that kind of loyalty and perseverance is true attraction to me. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against those dresses in FMD, but who cares if a good personality isn't present? But it is for Frankie: she's cute, smart, funny, nice, angry, sad, sympathetic, intimidating and cool all at once.
And HOT!

Thanks for the compliments, Cassini. I'm a huuuuuuuuge Frankie fanatic, so it was natural this would be my very first post on this forum(I'll promise I'll make a more proper entrance in the Introductions area soon ). And besides, I had to get that off my chest. I'm glad to see many Frankie fans out there... but, I have to be honest, I don't like how most of the praise I read about her is about how "hot" or "sexy" she is, while completely ignoring her wonderful personality(A good example of this is the Foster's production blog entry on the early Frankie sketches, where out of over 100 comments, none of them even acknowledge her current personality). And I think she's one of the hottest animated girls I've seen on any medium, so I don't want any remarks about how I'm some sensitive purist or something. BUT, I also think substance is just as important--and if the style of Frankie's surface design is what hooked me at first sight, it's the substance to her actual character that makes me keep loving her like I do.

Hey! That's the same face Frankie's making when Mr. Herriman uses it on his "Slander Frankie's Name to Win the Election" campaign!
Maybe it's her "I don't want to do this, so I'll make it funny" face.

DANG! Frankie's birthday is just five days ahead of MINE! She's got green eyes(no surprise there, really) like me, too. I was sorta surprised she'd weigh 127 pounds, though.

I know, especially for being 5'8". I'm 5'9" and I weigh far more than that and I do my best to keep in shape. I had her figured at around the same weight given, but I thought she was far shorter.
