Above all else, she is very natural and confident and that's what I find most attractive about her ^_^ That's probably what I like the most about her as well - what you see is what you get with her, she's totally genuine. It's so easy to admire her, especially considering all the abuse she has to put up with in some episodes. After all the bother Mac & Bloo cause her (indirectly or otherwise) she still sticks up for them, and calls them her friends - like in Frankie, My Dear - I think that's terrific

You know, when I first watched this show I did have a misconception about the character of Frankie... I thought she was 16. Maybe perhaps because I have played too many Japanese RPG's that feature well endowed female characters that were a lot younger then they looked. Jeez, me too, it didn't help that some websites called her Madame Foster's "teenage granddaughter". Anime is poisoning our minds! You got that right, in fact when I first saw the show and the character of Frankie, I immediately thought of the character of Etna, from the very underrated Playstation 2 game Disgaea. (Which of course led to my above line of thinking.) Here's a picture comparison (I know there are some major differences, but there are subtle similarities if you look hard enough)

Except for the fact that they both have their hair tied back, I don't see any significant similarities. Sorry.

I like Frankie for many of the same reasons princefala does.
She's just so ... normal. She's such a strong female character, I can relate to her in so many ways, as I'm sure pretty much any other girl in their 20's could. She's got so much spunk, and she's so cute, but at the same time she's not ditzy and girly. And she has a temper, which I always find refreshing, she isn't one of those "giggle" girls that stands idly by like in many of today's cartoons and animes.
It's hard to put it into words, but she just seems so ... believable. Like she's based on a real person. And her love for her computer is adorable, too.
I often wonder, also, if she ever had an imaginary friend. She doesn't seem like the type who would abandon an imaginary friend, Frankie My Dear being a prime example of her loyalty to her friends, no matter how young and annoying they may be.
But it seems like imaginary friends are expected of most children in the series, Terrence aside (as well as other children with, er, limited mental capacities, such as the girl in the pilot). Frankie definatley doesn't fall under the category of unintelligent, however.

You know if they ever get around to casting it, you know who I think would be perfect for the voice of Frankie's Mother, Katey Sagal (She of "Married With Children", "Futurama" and "8 Simple Rules" fame.) I just think it would be good fit.

Interesting choice; I like it. I don't know if she does voice work, though.

I can't help but admire this young woman, though, for her perseverance and her dedication to her job. You KNOW that it has to make a serious negative impact on her social life, and she's at that age when having a social life is so important to most people. I'd hate to be in her position and have to explain to someone I just met what I did for a living and where I lived, since few people would understand that. pitbulllady

I guess that makes it easier to weed out the creepy Shallow Hals (like Dylan) from real friends.... or not.

If the writers wanted to, they could easily throw together a convincing, plausible and above all entertaining fully fleshed out back story for any character on Foster's they choose. Will they do it for a character like Frankie? They may, they may not, either way wouldn't hurt my enjoyment of the show in the least. Besides it's fun to do a little "dream casting" now and again.

I actually own her newest CD, Iron Flowers. I had to order it off of Amazon because, darnit, no stores actually seemed to carry it. It's actually quite nice. Today I was bored, so I got one of the tracks off of that album, "Right Now" (Which sadly is not a cover of the Van Halen song. ) it was okay but nothing to write home about in my opinion, maybe I just set my sites too high. On a positive note I discovered Grey's husband's band "The Old 97's" (According to Wiki she's married to the Bassist.) and they're pretty good. I like their song, "Murder (Or A Heart Attack)" which according to "Blender Magazine" is the best song in existence so that's got to be saying something.

You know, I actually thought "Right Now" was a cover of the Van Halen song too. Until I listened to it at least.
I think off of the whole CD though, I'd recomend either "The Bloody Bucket" or "Blueheart".
