I sort of thought that it'd be interesting if they had a TV episode where Mac would spend some time in the sub-basement of the Foster house and research the history of the Foster family, beginning with Frederick Foster, who had the house built in 1897 with the immeasurable fortune he had built through the foundation of the Foster's Financial Group...right through Madame Foster's opening of the house to Imaginary Friends in 1971. I already pitched the idea to Cartoon Network, though I suck as a writer so I was unable to produce a 100+ page script to send to their Atlanta offices.

As much as I'd like an origin episode, one that talks about the forster's history sounds a little boring. I'd like to know more about the house, but I think that if the show just throws us a clue here and there (like Herriman saying he was working there for 30 years) it will keep us interested, and not make the writers refer to that origin episode for continuity (not that they care much for continuity anyway).

I'm not sure that this is a strictly character-driven thread or not, but I don't feel it belongs in the Humans section so I'm moving it to General Character for now.
(And I don't really have much of an opinion on this issue so I'll stay quiet.)
