Meh, this is a bit late, but I really think Mac would rather have terrence nicer. I can say this because I have a shadow of the same situation with my brother- we've pretty much been at each other's throats verbally since before he could talk! I mean literally before he could talk. He's only about 2 1/2 years older than me, so we're kinda close in age. In any case, I ususally come out the loser in the end (though for some reason, while I sound like an idiot when placed next to my brothers I tend to be much more witty when not... eh). It could have been more physically bad except for: my other brother, who is six years older than me, would only occasionally join in but was much more of a mediator (he's really like Mac, in the intelligent and nice kind of way... he also kindof looks like him, too) and the fact that there's a society-wide idea of 'don't hit girls'.
SO in any case, Since my brother is a... um... jerk, since I shouldn't swear, I really wish he would be nice. I don't want him to jump off of a cliff because I can see he does have good bits in him when he's not actively ripping me off or cheating or 'forgetting' that he owes me 65 bucks for a video card or kicking me off the computer or smashing my lego's or similar. Mac, being nice, would be much more likely to have the same general idea given that terrence is worse.

I guess that's what fires me up about Foster's. It's the old cliche that pretty much all teens are moronic and violent, and it's IMPOSSIBLE for two brothers to friggin' LOVE EACHOTHER! I have a wonderful relationship with my older brother, so I don't see why the Foster's cast can't show a little daring and have an episode with Mac and Terrance showing a brotherly bond. Actually, haven't you noticed that violent, moronic teens are a trend in all CN series? KND is an example I can think of right off the bat. They want to show KIDS in a smarter-than-thou manner where the adults are oblivious and their older siblings abusive. Being the eldest sibling of two, I also fail terribly to understand that concept. I get that it's tough trying to be nice and protective all the time, specially when siblings are young and most likely to easily fight over anything. As a child, I wasn't always the ideal, loving, protective older sister, but I don't remember ever having had that bad of a relationship with any of my two siblings. They don't have to LOVE each other but would it kill the crew to maybe have Terrence act like a decent human being instead of a neanderthal for once?

Terrence reminds me of Francis from FOP (sorry... ex-FOP fangirl...). And then there is Vicky, but I won't go into detail because that's getting off-topic (that's moving into the Frankie category!!!) I think it's a theme in general in programming today- KND, FOP, JN... The executives like to make kids think they are smarter than adults (which they are sometimes...), so they feel as if they can bond with the characters. Too bad it also gets people grounded for snapping back at their parents!!! -Marty

I'm the oldest sibling of four. And personally, I see where Terrence is coming from with his bullying. He's jealous of Mac. Mac is smart, responsible, and everyone trusts him. No one trusts Terrence. I bet it's been like that since Mac's birth, and THAT'S when Dad left the picture and Terrence had to tough it out or get beaten up.
Honestly, I think Mac would want a smarter brother so Terrence would understand. That's where I'm coming from.

Hmm... Good theory, but there are smart people I know who are still bullies anyway... Comments, anyone??? -Marty
