The episode had its good points and bad points. What really bothered me was that Mac was giving into Bloo's demands by stealing Madame Foster's valuables and selling them online to pay him off. It is so much like Mac to yell at Bloo and force him to bring everything back to normal, which he did not do. The Dora parody was an example of classic Foster's overexaggeration; I mean, It would make more sense for Eduardo to like the show if some Spanish were actually spoken. As for the ''expellances'' - stuff like that is usually reserved for the less sophisticated cartoons, I was surprised to see it in Foster's. On the plus side, we get to see Wilt acting and singing (!), and several movies being reenacted by our favorite IFs.

I was a bit bothered by that as well, but I think he did it because he was under a lot of pressure by having to make this movie that represented his school, and he probably didn't want to disappoint them.

What really bothered me was that Mac was giving into Bloo's demands by stealing Madame Foster's valuables and selling them online to pay him off. That I found highly disturbing. For an eight-year-old Mac seems to have a pretty functional and rigid set of values in place and to see him break these for Bloo, who was being a jerk, was hard to watch. It got better when Madame Foster bought them back, though. And that Mac (almost) confessed. That seemed just a bit more Mac-like. On a positive note, "schmeBay" is pretty much the best thing ever.

Actually, it makes perfect sense, good call there.
I don't like this "backwards puberty" thing. But it makes sense too. He IS reverting, it seems.
I think someone suggested there should be an ep when Bloo is faced with the true possibility of losing Mac ( like because he has to move far away, or even if mom finds out and forces Bloo to get adopted, something like that) then maybe it will teach him a lesson. But regarding the fact that almost all viewers seem to like the show for its lesser qualities, at least in my eyes, then that's a far cry. I'll just have to hope that we get at least ONE ep with some heart, as you mentioned...here and there so that we can be assured Bloo DOES want Mac around. Otherwise, I know for sure I'll start watching the show ONLY for Wilt and Coco.

I really liked this episode. It made me laugh harder than I have in a while. I'm kind of in a rush now, so I'll give more of my input later.

He was faced with that possibility in "Duchess of Wails", but as far as I remember (which isn't that far because I haven't seen the episode in a while and I have the memory of a retarded goldfish), it ended in both Mac and Bloo agreeing that having Duchess next door to Mac's apartment was so incredibly horrible that moving to Singaconsin wouldn't be that bad.... to Bloo's credit he DID try to get the soccer-mom-family to kick her out, but didn't seem that committed to it...
I agree with you there -- I think there should be the occasional episode (by which I mean like, more than once, and not only IN THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE SHOW) where Bloo and Mac's friendship is reinforced. I'll like the writers even more if they can do that and keep Bloo being Bloo at the same time.

I'd like it if you guys would save your energy on the Mac/Bloo debate for a thread over in the characters section, because it is as always an excellent topic and I don't want it to get lost within an episode talkback thread. (Points specific to the ep, such as Mac stealing from Madame Foster in response to pressure on him from Bloo, is of course episode specific and belongs here.) I'm not "mad" at anyone for debating it here I just think that the subject of Mac and Bloo's personalities and their friendship etc is one of the best subjects of debate and I don't want it to get lost in this thread when it can have it's own thread(s) and be seen and joined in by as many people as possible. -- This wasn't one of my "favorite" eps but I like it better than a lot of others. In fact it really picked up for me when Mac sold his collectible figures and then started stealing - I love Mac and I actually like him more whenever he shows his less-than-perfect side. (Btw obviously I saw Lauren but where was Craig mentioned?) Hey how on earth does an eight-year-old kid have access to a PO Box?? Lol. And Madame F must have a PO Box herself for Mac to not recognise the address he was posting the packages to. Another thing, I'm seriously starting to wonder if the writers want us to go on believing that Mom doesn't know about Foster's. I'm not even sure anymore if we're *supposed* to believe that she doesn't know - was it ever mentioned specifically that Foster's is a secret? I don't recall if it was. I mean - Mac's brought Bloo to school, and now he's making movies about how he goes to Foster's every day - no way we're supposed to believe Mom doesn't know about it. But then it could merely be a suspension of belief type thing, I dunno! Anyways...Wilt was my favorite thing about this episode. Too bad Frankie was MIA.

Yeah, that was my idea. All the details are in the "Bloo" thread, near the bottom of page 2: nffostershome.proboards52.com/index.cgi?board=friends&action=display&thread=1121650913&page=2I didn't really care for this episode, but I can't say I hated it, either. It certainly has stirred up some heated debate.

Craig was the guy with the long, dark hair who bursts into the room where the episodes of "Lauren Gone Exploren'" were being made, after reading Eduardo's letter, insisting that the show's creators make an episode about uhm, passing gas, for little kiddoes. pitbulllady

I will also add that this isn't a favorite of mine, but there are a lot of things in this episode that will make this a very memorable one. Say what you want about Bloo, but he made one heck of a filmmaker. I have to agree with pbl about Wilt -- who needs Tom Hanks? Lots of references here -- Craig McCracken (he voiced in this episode, I believe), Lauren Faust, Star Wars, eBay, the band -- Smash Mouth (the rhythm of the song Wilt was singing sounded like "All Star" -- I'll have to watch it again to see), and others. A solid episode with lots of comedy -- great job, Mr. Pava -- as well as the rest of the crew.

I find this episode to be just plain wierd.
In fact, I was completely lost when I watch this.
But, I have to admit this episode isn't bad, but I consider it my favorite.
At least it tried, though.

I was laughing when I saw Craig in the episode, because I've seen pictures of him. He looked a bit like he does in real life!
