*rolls eyes* Uh oh, Wilt got yelled at.
But hey - Jellyfish in a Bus. That sounds like the sequel to Snakes on a Plane.
Like last week, can't wait to be able to download this baby.

Okay, I can honestly say that I have never laughed as hard as I did last night at a Foster's episode EVER (and that's saying something!). These epsiodes just keep getting better and better!
"It's hooooot in Toooopeeekaaaa!" "My toe is hot, so PICK IT!"
That part made my tummy hurt. From laughing, that is.

Snakes on a Plane will never, ever get old. Sorry, not into movies that reinforce negative stereotypes about animals that are already maligned and hated enough as it is. Every time someone like myself makes a bit of head-way somewhere in changing attitudes, somebody comes out with another "B" movie, and if it came from Hollywood, it has to be true, right? Be that as it may, I have to wonder about Wilt's motivation to collect jellyfish, which are, last time I checked, totally aquatic, and put them on the bus. Was this his idea of a joke or prank? I don't think I can honestly recall seeing him play a prank on anyone in any past episodes, and it certainly does not seem like Wilt to play a prank that actually could get someone hurt. He also does not strike me as the terrorist type would INTENTIONALLY do something like that to make sure someone got hurt. Did he think he was helping the jellyfish by putting them out of their natural element and onto the bus? Apparently Wilt is quite knowledgeable about venomous creatures and those most people consider "creepy" at the least; his skills in being able to handle them without being bitten or stung impresses ME(and THAT is saying a LOT), although that also makes me wonder if a venomous snake or a 'gator or something like that might just be responsible for his missing parts, too. You would think, though, that someone who knew enough about jellyfish to be able to pick them up without being stung(and with Wilt's asthma, THAT would so not be a good thing, since jellyfish venom affects, among other things, breathing), would also know that they needed to be back in the WATER, NOT on a bus, AND that once on the bus, they would be a potential threat to anyone who touched their tentacles for hours, if not days, since the stinging nematocysts can fire upon touch long after the rest of the thing's colonial cells are dead. Maybe he was not trying to help the JELLYFISH, though, but the people on the beach, and thought that putting them on the bus would at least prevent the other beach-goers from being stung. He might have intended to take them off the bus before everyone loaded up, and forgot about it. There's also the very plausible explanation that someone ELSE put the offending coelenerates on the vehicle in question, and Wilt, being Wilt, took the blame for it to keep someone else, even someone he didn't know from Adam's housecat, from getting in trouble. pitbulllady

He'd have to be practically lying down (or have fallen) for a crocodile or alligator to bite his arm and eye. I'd consider it if it were just his hand or foot. It could have been a venomous snake bite though... Maybe he was allergic to the antivenom. It's not that uncommon to be allergic to antivenom. With asthma that would be a very bad thing.

I was not really serious about an alligator or snake resulting in the loss of Wilt's arm, eye, and the scarring on his face, which is way too "clean" and surgical to have been caused by an animal. Although it is, actually, quite possible for a gator to grab someone's upper torso and head, since most bites occur when a person is leaning over the water where the reptile is lying in ambush, or trying to save a pet from the gator's jaws. I have actually spent quite a bit of time among gators, living on the Coastal Plain of South Carolina. A snake bite might have cost him his arm, but unlikely to have resulting in the loss of his eye, too, or those facial scars. No, Frankie did not specifically say that WILT was responsible for the jellyfish, or that they were on the bus, per se, BUT she was clearly angry with JUST HIM, and he knew it. Also, if the jellyfish were still of a concern for her, WHERE were they, if not on the bus? No one was seen bringing them into the house, and even still, they would HAVE to have been on the bus to get there, no? If they'd been left on the beach, they would not have been an issue at all for Frankie, so that could only mean that they were ON THE BUS. If Wilt had nothing to do with it, WHY was Frankie going off on just him? She wasn't yelling at anyone else, and no one else was acting as though she was. It's bad enough that she was treating Wilt like a child, and knowing that he's the sort to take this enornous guilt trip on himself anyway, continue to do so, apparently all the way home, for something he did, but if she was just angry and PMS'y in general, and for whatever reason decided to target Wilt as the object of her venting, that is TOTALLY wrong! Wilt is not the sort you have to really hammer before he acknowleges that he's done something wrong and feels remorse for it, after all. This is the second time he's mentioned punishing himself, the first being when he thought he was breaking Herriman's ridiculous made-up "rules" in "Crime After Crime". Combined with him always putting others before himself, saying things like "there are lots more Imaginary Friends here FAR more worthy of being adopted than me", his willingness to accept blame for things he did not even do, his referring to himself as "broken", it's clear that Wilt's worst scars aren't the ones that can be seen, and Frankie ought to be aware of that. pitbulllady

Yay I actually taped the end credits for this one. They showed them on the second showing Friday night. Maybe that will be a regular thing now on Fridays, which would be awesome. I was getting awfully tired of always missing the end credits. I think I'm missing 3 now.

I really think Wilt has more commonsense than to put jellyfish in the Foster's bus. They would die unless he put them in buckets of water. If they were in buckets of water, they wouldn't really be a danger to anyone if they didn't reach in the bucket and could be easily released. I was also wondering why she would have to find homes for them now...couldn't she just put them back in the ocean? Why would they drive all the way back home with a bus full of jellyfish? It sure it sounded like there was a lot of them, and if that were the case, then how would they have fit all of the imaginary friends, Madame Foster, and Frankie in the bus? Plus I'm not aware of any pet trade on jellyfish as that's what I'm pretty sure she was referring to with "finding them homes;" however, they could donate them an aquarium. I figured the jellyfish incident had more to do with Frankie having to "clean all that sand" with Wilt somehow unintentionally involved in it or that he took the blame for someone else. I got the impression that the sand didn't come home with them either and that's why she was complaining of the impossibility of "cleaning all that sand." If she had said, "cleaning all that sand up," then I would have assumed that there was, indeed, a mess in the bus or somewhere other than the beach; however, it wouldn't be nearly as difficult to clean up as sand still at the beach would. Not only that, but she specifically said that she "had to go back" to clean it up, so I'm pretty sure the jellyfish were still there too. The sand was clearly left at the beach and was a concern of hers. Plus, the governor banned them from the beach. What ever happened had to have been a very serious event. More than jellyfish and sand being brought home on the bus, that's for sure. I get the impression that there was a spill of a contaminant (not necessarily oil) that would kill all the animals in the water, so Wilt ended up rescuing all these jellyfish. I can easily see him helping the jellyfish. Frankie, bombarded with an immense number of jellyfish to find homes for and a huge mess clean up, was wrongly taking it out on Wilt for his caring and giving nature. I know that Frankie was obviously blaming Wilt for the whole mess. She specifically addressed him as though it was entirely his fault at the start of her rant even though she said that governor banned everyone from the beach. It was the stress of the whole situation that caused to react that way toward Wilt; however, she should have known Wilt better than that and how he would take it out on himself. I haven't seen "Crime After Crime," but I have heard that he was intent on punishing himself even though the rules he broke were ridiculous. I hope to see "Crime After Crime" as soon as it airs on Cartoon Network again.

I haven't seen "Crime After Crime," but I have heard that he was intent on punishing himself even though the rules he broke were ridiculous. I hope to see "Crime After Crime" as soon as it airs on Cartoon Network again. Have you EVER been to the beach? You cannot HELP but to bring sand back with you-in your vehicle, to your motel room/camper/whatever. It sticks EVERYWHERE, including places I cannot mention here. Any trip to beach means automaticly having to spend a few hours cleaning sand up from SOMEWHERE. It's just a given. I don't think that's specifically why Frankie was so upset, though, since she should have been expecting this. Also, if the jellyfish had been left back on the beach, I don't think THAT would have been an issue at all, and even if they'd been left there in buckets, I don't think she would have spent one second worrying about their fate. That only leaves one place that they could have been. As for WHY someone put them ON THE BUS, is anyone's guess, and if Frankie was simply taking it out on Wilt due to his caring nature, that is actually far worse and more unforgiveable of her than if he actually had something to do with whatever happened. If he'd done whatever was done to cause such a ruckus, or told her that he did to cover for someone else, I could almost see her reasoning for going off on him like that, but if she was just singling HIM out as a "whipping boy" , from all those that were on that bus(how DO they get over a thousand residents on that one bus, anyway?), that is wrong, no if's, and's or but's about it. I am still sticking with Wilt having done something, even unintentionally, since I hate to think of Frankie as being such a vile female dog! I know that in many coastal states, it IS illegal to pick up, harass, disturb, capture or collect, or kill many marine animals, and this is especially true in the Western coastal areas, and on beaches which are part of a state or national park. You cannot even collect shells from the beach on one of our own state park beaches without a permit! Taking live jellyfish could indeed result in a group or an individual being banned by the state, if not actually fined or imprisoned. It might not make sense, but some people do tend to go a bit overboard when it comes to environmental protection. pitbulllady

You know, I don't really think Wilt is as fragile as people seem to think he is. I mean, if he suffered as much abuse as we are to believe he has been through, I don't think his world will come crashing down if Frankie yells at him... No, he's not as fragile, BUT you have to understand the nature of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, which, given what he has surely been through, abuse or not, he has almost certainly experienced. PTSD never goes away; you never completely get over it. You learn to COPE and to adapt, but throughout the life of a person who's had it, full-blown "attacks" can be triggered by other events, some of which seem very trivial. Someone like Wilt might shrug off things that would appear to be pretty bad, while something that you would not think would severely affect him, will, for a long time. One of the symptoms of someone suffereing from PTSD is a feeling of worthlessness, whether or not that person has actually experienced abuse. It's pretty clear that for whatever reason, Wilt's feelings of self-worth are not very good. In "Crime After Crime", while he was willing to punish himself for infringing upon those ridiculous rules made up my Mr. Herriman, and frustrated that no matter what he did, he'd still be breaking them, and couldn't seem to come up with a fitting punishment for himself, he did not seem to hurt by it. Not so when Frankie was chewing him out; he reminded me of a dog that has been beaten, and is cowering down in suplication when someone raises their voice at it. pitbulllady

I just watched "Squeeze The Day" again(with END CREDITS! First time I've seen THOSE in I-don't-know-how-long), paying especially close attention to the ending. Frankie IS addressing Wilt personally, not just venting at him for what anyone else did. She says, "Just one day, Wilt-just ONE DAY! That's all I asked for, and YOU had to go and ruin it!" Wilt responds, very upset, "I'm SO sorry, Frankie! I don't know what got into me!" Frankie's reply to his apology is, "I don't either, but thanks to you I've got to clean up all that sand, find homes for all those jellyfish, and the governor has banned us from the beach!" I don't know what he did involving the jellyfish, but it must have really been bad, and even though he's likely to accept blame for something he didn't do, Frankie must know that, and unless she had proof of his guilt, or saw what he did herself, she'd be skeptical if he just claimed responsibility. The whole gist was that she was supposed to sound like an angry parent berating a child for messing up a trip, and that Frankie had deliberately left at home the one individual she thought would be most likely to cause trouble on the trip, while the one she would have LEAST expected to be a problem turned out to be the trouble-maker after all.

I loved this episode dearly. Anything containing a sole half-hour of nothing but Mac and Bloo being completely crazy and doing things together is my idea of a great episode. ::hugs Craig:: Gawd I love those two.
And to support PB, I do feel Wilt was being treated harshly, even if Frankie was just acting out of anger over the jellyfish situation, whatever THAT whole thing was about. Considering the fact I think Wilt is one of the sweetest souls around that I have ever witnessed (and I still think his injuries are due to him saving someone), he doesn't deserve that. If I had been there, Frankie would have been punched squarely in the face. It seems she was raised in Foster's with Wilt already there, so I doubt she knows herself why he is the way he is. If she did, maybe she'd be a little more understanding with him. That's one time my points for Frankie went down bigtime. Other then that, super episode. My favorite scene was Mac n' Bloo pigging out and then the dramatic scene performed by Bloo when he thought Mac was dead. LOL
