I just snagged a Foster's poster on eBay so I thought I'd make this thread. Okay. So I've seen the child's hoodie, maybe one or two child's t-shirts, the (small!) Bloo plushie, the Eduardo statuette, and there's one adult shirt at cartoonnetwork.com right now - oh yeah and that one figure boxset - anything else? I can't believe that there seems to be no children's books, not even activity/coloring books for this show! What gives??

That's a good question! I can't believe that CN hasn't released anymore stuff than that! The only plushie is of Bloo, and it's really small, more like a Beanie. Do they not realize how popular this show is, or are they waiting to see if it has "staying power" before putting out any more mechandise? I haven't tried contacting them, since my experiences with Disney Channel and Pixar haven't been that great; I wonder if they are more open to suggestions? I would just about commit a crime for a Wilt plushie or adult-sized t-shirt!

I found the lack of any major merchandise very surprising. I haven't seen the numbers, but I've heard this is one of Cartoon Network's big shows right now. You'd think they would milk it. Maybe they might follow whatever marketing model Powerpuff Girls followed. And the oddest part is the lack of kid's books. Given that the art from the show is all vector, they could have easily taken the cheap route by illustrating books using poses and backgrounds from the show. Gah! It also kinda annoys me that Paramount Parks seems to be in the process of dumping Cartoon Network/Hanna-Barbera in favor of Nickelodeon. The parks could had been a GOLD MINE for merchandise. One a side note, there's one piece of merchandise that stood out to me: www.cartoonnetwork.com/shop/category/toy/game/SPC10CNL0418.01.htmlNotice the rather different looking Foster's artwork.

I kinda like that, though, even though I'm not complaining about the CGI Vector animation. It reminds me of that Frazetta-style pic that they showed in the "Bloo Done It" episode, where Bloo was imagining himself seated on a six-legged tiger, battling the Evil Uncle Pockets, a 'la "Harry Potter"! Still, I want a t-shirt, and a Wilt plushie...and a coffee mug.

I did buy the only adult sized t-whirt on there, but it's huge on me, yet I have trouble fitting into the youth clothes. I don't mind the shirt being baggy though. I do wish that they'd make more merchandise. I didn't even bother buying the Bloo plushie; I just made my own, and actually made him life-size.

Did anyone check out the limited edition Foster's print on the CN site? It cost me sixty bucks but it was so spectacular I went ahead and had it framed. It now hangs over my couch as a source of pleasure for me and confusion for my guests. Guess they don't know what they're missing. Check it out at: www.cartoonnetwork.com/shop/fos/clt/lep/ACM16FOSFAMILY.01.html Yeah, I'd like to see more Foster's stuff; I guess we all would. On the other hand, don't you think it's kind of nice to watch a cartoon that's driven by likable characters and amusing stories instead of a line of merchandice?

I know what you mean...Sometimes, companies push the merchandising too much. Anyway, maybe the lack of merchandise sort of shows that they've realised that Foster's doesn't need lots of merchandise to be popular.

I am surprised with the limited amount of merchandise this series has. I'm sure that'll change. Besides, it hasn't really been a full year since this series debuted in the U.S. This is one of CN's highest-rated programs. Still, this is a fantastic series to watch.

I'd like to see another figure set, this time including Frankie, Madam Foster, and Mr. Herriman. I'd also like a mug and a cap, and maybe a model of the house, too.

Oh for people not on the tv.com forum, there are Foster's books on the way. I saw some on Amazon.com (do a search, you should find them). But no release date was given.

The poster's of very good quality, definitely worth the price. I'm hoping CN will come out with a few more like that.
