Lol, my brother sent me that banner a long time ago. I made a super-popular LJ icon with it.

OK, I now at least have a tentative timeline. I spoke with the manager of our local BK this morning, and she JUST had gotten in the information about this promo. She said that the posters, window cards, etc., to let people know about this would be arriving on the 24th of April, and that the actual toys would arrive a few days after that, but had no information about which toys they would be, nor what kind of toys specicially, other than that they were to promote Foster's. Basically, then, we can start checking anytime after the 24th. She could confirm that there were supposed to be nine different collectibles in all, though.

... ... ...
I suddenly had a (the following words in all caps are best said in a Zim-voice) MIGHTY NEED to go to the nearest BK. I'll try to get a Wilt. I don't want all nine. I'd be happy with my Wiruto-sama.

I want all nine, but I want at least TWO of Wilt! That's one of the good things about being a teacher; I can bribe students to trade me the pieces I wasn't able to find!

{I can bribe students to trade me the pieces I wasn't able to find!}
There is nothing more exciting then for a student to hear that their teachers want to bribe them for a fastfood collectable...How do you intend to bribe em? raise their grade by 5 points? or lower it by 5 points if they refuse?

Oooh, I wonder if they'll have them in Canada ... probably not ... I am sure they will be, more often then not fast food chains on both sides of the border will offer the same promotions, and it's not like Foster's isn't shown in Canada, so it's not like the characters are unrecognizable to the general public.

Most of 'em will be really happy to swap collectible toys for a bag of potato chips from the vending machines across the hall from my classroom. By school rules, students are only allowed to get stuff from the machines during their lunch period, unless they have special verifiable permission from a staff member or other adult. They consider it a big deal to be allowed to go to the machines during or in between class periods, and will pretty much do ANYTHING to earn that privilege-like bring the teacher a nice Wilt toy! pitbulllady
