So, any of you out there have any memories, fond or not, of the 1991 Disney cartoon Darkwing Duck? When I was in high school, it was on the air, and I was pitching ideas for episodes for that series back then....one of which was where Gosalyn (the adopted daughter of the title character) meets her teenage self, who has donned the Darkwing Duck costume (a darker version thereof) and had traveled back in time in pursuit of a master criminal named FlashQuack. I remember it because it was "rejected".
The cartoon has its moments, my favorite being Darkwing being dragged against his will to a planet of superheroes to assume the role of...Ordinary Guy.

Of course this was one of my favorite shows of all time (I still bear the marks of the fandom in the form of my nickname). My Darkwing fansite was also my first website, and my DW fanfics the first fanfics I ever allowed anyone else to read. My fancharacter Persuasion was also my first fancharacter from any source that I ever told actually anyone about (she kinda sucks but whattayagonnado).
Its coming out on DVD next month, I believe.

August 29'th to be exact, and unlike the Ducktales and Chip'N'Dale: Rescue Rangers sets, Disney will be including the pilot episode for the series on this one. I wonder if the DVD will allow you to listen to the DW theme song in German.

Darkwing Duck...one of the best Disney animated shows of all time, in my opinion! It was my ultimate favorite when I was a kid. In fact, I used to walk around the playground singing the theme song when I was little and sometimes I'd get people to join me! XP I even have some vids of it somewhere at my home. I don't know where, but they're around somewhere. Favorite moments? I honestly can't name my favorite moment because I have too many to count! XD

You also hear if Disney are releasing any DVD boxed sets of TaleSpin, Bonkers, and Raw Toonage? Talespin will be hitting the streets the same day as Darkwing Duck: August 29'th, no word on Bonkers or Raw Toonage at this time. If you want to keep up to date on if and when DVD boxed sets of your favorite TV shows are coming out, this site: TV Shows on DVD is a great resource. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread already in progress.

The greatest continuity flaw I see is with the origin of Negaduck. One episode suggested that he was created by Megavolt via some Tron-Splitting device, and another episode suggested that he came from an evil parallel world.
Also, it was never explained how Herbert J. Muddlefoot Jr. ('Honker") discovered that middle-income suburbanite Drake Mallard and vigilante crimefighter Darkwing Duck are the same person, nor how Darkwing got S.H.U.S.H. funding for vehicles like the Ratcatcher and his arsenal of weapons prior to "Darkly Dawns The Duck".
