What do you think about this series by Genndy Tartakovsky? I like it as much as Foster's, it is a modern classic. Also, it was what Craig McCracken worked on before The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's were started.
I think they should bring it back (if they could get Tartakovsky back to CN).

I like Dexter's Lab, too! It's one of those funny, original cartoons. But I like Foster's more.

Oh, I miss Dex. CN has been making DVDs of some of their less stellar cartoons, but won't get around to this one. I want season sets!

CN where I live shows Dexter's Lab all the time. If they weren't showing season 3 of Foster's I'd think they were 5 years behind the rest of the world.
I really liked the first 2 seasons, but season 3 is just aweful - they switched style, voice actors, and some character names, it just doesn't look like the same show.

The only one that I have noticed is that Quackor is now spelled Quakor. And Douglas is now called Mordecai, but one episode from the second season (The Bus Boy) revealed that Mordecai is his last name.

Yeah, Mordecai was the one I was thinking of (though I think their teacher also had like 3 different names) - It just didn't make sense for Dexter to call him that after calling him Douglas for an entire episode in an earlier season - I also had no idea it's his last name, I saw that episode too long ago to remember.

Man, Dexter's Lab was awesome. Mandark was the best. I loved that episode with "Professor Hawk", and that one where he finds the dog and makes him talk. But then I saw the newer episodes and was horrifed. Sob!

Some cartoons deteriorate over time, I suppose.

Dexter's Lab? I love that show. I mean - I like the old episodes. I don't like the new ones that much...

I've only begun re-watching the show on Boomerang, but it's great and definitely worthy of becoming a classic.
And I love Dee Dee. ^_^; I know she is very silly and always annoys poor Dexter... but she's just so cute and adorable. I DON'T have a crush on her at all; I just want a plushie of her.

Not having cable, and Dexter being cancelled long before I got a babysitting job where the cable TV's always on, I haven't seen many Dexter episodes. But I loved what I saw. Mandark = YAY. His laughter(ah-ha ha! Ha ha! Ha ha haha ha!)...I smile even now just remembering!

Some cartoons deteriorate over time, I suppose. It's not exactly that. Cartoon Network cancelled the show after 52 episodes and a movie (Ego Trip). But three years later, seeing as the show had gained a cult status, decided to bring it back. Problem is, Genndy Tartakovsky was busy working on Samurai Jack, so CN decided to hire a bunch of new artists who didn't understand the charm of the original show to run the third season. Some of my favorites from the first two seasons include "Sister Mom", "The Laughing", "D&DD", "Aye Aye Eyes", "Dee Dee And The Man", "Dexter's Lab: A Story", "LABretto", "The Continuum Of Cartoon Fools", "DeeDeeMensional"; "DiM" and "Last But Not Beast" - and, of course, the excellent "Ego Trip".
