Hmm...you could be right. I know of some people that are kind of like that. Some of my family members are sort of like this, for instance. They're not EXACTLY like that to where they worry about getting a disease or germ through a cut at the bottom of their feet, but they just worry constantly about getting a germ whether it's through their pores or through breathing it in somehow. They constantly clean tables off, sweep up floors and vacuum so that they "don't get any kind of disease". While they don't necessarily worry about their feet, they DO worry about germs, so this could very well be a possibility, I think. Although, for some reason, I am doubtful because I am pretty sure that Wilt does not really worry about diseases or germs all that much mainly because I have never seen him really fret over 'contaminated tables' or 'dirty floors'. That's Herriman's job, after all. XP (He is another story, though. He could very well be like this and this is evident through his habbit of wanting everything completely spotless.) But I'm not totally putting it out of the question, either because I think that it could very well be a possibility.

I just had this somewhat random thought regarding the upcoming episode, "Bus The Two of Us", which we have discussed before. It was MY big question as to WHY Wilt, who is usually so responsible, would allow an eight(or will Mac be nine by then?)-year-old kid and a two-foot-nuthin' bloo blob to take a BUS and go joyriding in it, and then try to keep Frankie and Mr. Herriman from finding out. HOWEVER, today, when I went and read the synopsis on Cartoon Network's site, it just says that Wilt will try to keep Frankie and Mr. Herriman from finding out that the bus is MISSING. Maybe HE himself does not know that Mac and Bloo took the bus, but he was still responsible for the bus, for some reason. It still is a bit odd, knowing how readily he takes the blame even for things he had nothing to do with, that he'd try to cover up the bus being gone, which is basically lying, is it not? Man, I cannot WAIT for that episode, especially after seeing that still on the blog!

But then again, no matter what way the story will go, I am sure we are going to see a lot of laugh out loud situations arise from Wilt's diversionary tactics.

Reasons (guessing, logical ones) why Wilt is almost never bare-foot:
Was picked on
He's ticklish there
Isn't comfortable 'bout/is shy about/feels exposed when being bare-foot
Forgets a lot (I donno 'bout this one)
My top pick would have to be ticklish, though. What do you think?

What do you think? It's quite possible-some people just have very sensitive feet. I don't go barefooted except to bed or in the bath, because I have diabetes and already have some problems with my feet. Because I wear shoes all the time(though not usually socks, except in cold weather)my feet aren't very tough and it doesn't take much to hurt. I guess Wilt could be worried about stepping on something or having someone mess with his feet while they're sticking out from underneath the bed(and THAT would bother the daylights out of me, having my feet sticking out from underneath something). pitbulllady

XD

I don't know, antgirl - I just got done watching Trouble With Scribbles, and Wilt was letting some Scribbles touch his feet. Judging from Bloo's ticklish reaction when a few of them first came out of the closet and were barely touching him, I'm gonna kind of lean towards Wilt not being hyper-ticklish on his feet. *My* theory is the animators just don't like drawing his feet.

*My* theory is the animators just don't like drawing his feet. Thank you for that. Feet are a lot easier to draw than HANDS, though, and having drawn Wilt's hands, both realistically and in the style of the show, I can tell you that even with just four fingers, they are a challenge! His fingers are so long and tapered, with those gecko-like pads at the tips, that it makes his hands more difficult to draw than human hands, and THOSE are tough enough! That's why in many portraits of famous people, the artist would paint them with the hands tucked inside a coat or something(think Napoleon, for instance)because the artist simply didn't want to bother with those hands at all. I also wonder if Wilt would have fingernails or toenails. I know that they are not SHOWN, but if you notice, they aren't shown on most of the human characters, either, even though we know that humans have 'em. That's just something else that the animators can leave out, for the sake of time and simplicity, without most people noticing they're gone. pitbulllady

I find hands a lot easier to draw than feet, actually. That's probably just me though.
Maybe he likes wearing his shoes because of the basketball-related memories attached to them or something. I dunno.
