rukift was working on a (ginormous) Mac screencap archive...I don't know the address though, if it's up. Well, that sounds pretty neat, actually. Maybe if I do a search on it I can find it that way because I don't know the address, either.

I haven't seen many episodes and I missed a lot of the first few episodes but I already know I love Mac. Just something about him...can't put my finger on it.

But I'd kind of have to wonder, besides Frankie and Madame Foster, does Mac have any actual human friends? I'm not counitng Goo, because you'd have to wonder, is she really human? She could be an alien for all we know. Think about it.

She could be an alien for all we know. Think about it. Lol. Perhaps. ;D Anyways Mac did sort of make it clear in Bye Bye Nerdy that he doesn't really have any friends - and for that I think Goo serves her most important role, to be Mac's friend. (He *was* playing with a little boy in Bus the Two of Us though.)

I find him amusing in that he looks like and is like my oldest borther, you know, responsible, intelligent... Also yes most kids are intelligent. The reason they act stupid is becuase most of them have never encountered someone who really remembers what it was like to be a kid, someone who will talk to them like they were normal (also I remember as a kid having a large vocabulary because I read a lot).
Frankly, he's a better member of society than most people I know and better than I was at that age... When I was eight I was stuck-up little whiny kid, the type that whines when she dos't get her own way and is totally worthless. Even though I was technically smart it didn't make me any better-acting (actually I think it contributed to make it worse, the idea of 'I'm better than you'). So he's a good kid and a great character. I still have to rank calvin above him because calvin like me spends most of his time is a dream-world.
As for the friends, I also didn't really have many friends then, so I can connect with that. Right now I'm part of a group of four- we stick together a lot because we're all completly different, but very close all the same, and one of them goes nuts if you give her a cafeteria slushie. So I can relate to that. Once or twice I've played the part of Bloo giving her the slushie to reap the effect (she says some hilarious stuff) but more often I pretty much have to force her away from them...
Has anyone else noticed that the tackling thing with Bloo is kindof like hobbes?
It's normal for kids to get mad the way Mac did in Go Goo Go. I did and still do do that (I usually don't snap though). Sometimes I think small children are more emotionally unstable than are teenagers, and I am including hormones.
So anyway, Mac is an awesome character. Yeah, he is going to have trouble with dates later in life. He's also like calvin in that respect, but Mac's problem, Bloo, is external while Calvin is just... Calvin.
Wow, long post.
