It might have been Mac's dog, and after it died, Mac came up with Bloo to replace it. Anyone recall Bloo acting like a dog in "Dinner Is Swerved"? But the dog was in one of the later flashbacks in which Bloo pulls another surprise party on Mac, and Mac appeared fairly close to his current age when Bloo tricked him into putting the hot sauce on his hamburger so he'd be lapping from the dog's bowl when everyone showed up with presents. If the dog is dead, it must have died fairly recently, or maybe the family didn't live at the same apartment, and the one they're in now does not allow pets(MOST apartments don't, nowadays, not the four-legged, furry kind, anyway). You WOULD think, that if they still had the dog, it would have barked or at least been underfoot during "Infernal Slumber", so I guess they no longer have it. pitbulllady

For some reason, Mac looked like Sonic the Hedgehog when his hair is all soaky wet. XD

Well.....I won't be able to see this episode until I see my Dad again (he taped it for me, he's also taping Bus the Two of Us...yay for Daddy!)........so I guess I'll just have to sit here and wonder what the heck I <3 FB underwear could possibly have to do with "two men can hug."

And MAC ISN'T NINE!!! YES!!! I'm a little lost as I haven't seen this episode yet. So it wasn't Mac's nine-year-old birthday party? I was reading about it at tv.com and it said "Mac is turning nine years old, and Bloo is planning with the rest of the Imaginary Friends and Frankie for a surprise birthday party. However, Mac wants no part of it." So I'm confused.

Yeah that was clever. It was technically his birthday party...only it wasn't his birthday. Seems Bloo likes to take Mac off-guard by celebrating his birthday when it ISN'T his birthday (except apparently there was one year he did it on his birthday just to throw him).

"My birthday is the only day I'm safe! Except one year he threw it on my birthday because he knew I'd think I thought I was safe. So basically, I'm never safe!"

When I saw TV.com's review scores, I thought -- "oh, boy..." However, after viewing this one, I was delighted to say that this one was great! I've read a few comments saying "they treated Mac like crap". He kinda brought it to himself, in my opinion (this is coming from a huge Mac fan here). I laughed through pretty much the entire episode. It was great to see Mac's crazy side again, and I think he was more maniacal here than any episode I've seen. The ending through me WAAAAAAY off. Wow!! Haha. A+ episode. If the clip of the next episode that I saw from Comic-Con indicates anything, the next one should not disappoint.

Wow!! Haha. A+ episode. If the clip of the next episode that I saw from Comic-Con indicates anything, the next one should not disappoint. Overall, I thought that this episode was decent, but not the best. I'll definitely say that the humor in this one was great for the most part, but there were some other things that I didn't particularly like about it. For one thing, I didn't like how Bloo kept embarassing Mac like he did. And from the way Bloo was acting, he wasn't throwing parties for Mac because it was his birthday OR because he cared about him...it was because he wanted to embarass him. To do that kind of thing that many times, you have to think that it's intentional. But I also didn't like how selfish Mac was acting just because Bloo embarassed him. I totally agree with you when you say that Mac pretty much brought the negative comments and reactions from his friends on to himself. He was acting so selfish and was so caught up in revenge that he wasn't thinking about anyone else at the moment (yeah, I know that the party ended up actually being for him in the end, but that doesn't change the fact that he was being selfish at one point). If you act in a bad way, you can expect to get some negative reactions from people, so it's really his own fault when you think about it. Now, here are some of the good points that I think I should mention. First of all, I'll admit that Artie was one of the better parts of this episode. He was so cute! I just couldn't help but giggle whenever he said "Im fo' yea's o'd! XD Another thing that was good was how Mac tried to make up for what he did and dressed like a clown for Artie even though he didn't like clowns. Also, even though I didn't like how selfish Mac was being, I couldn't help but laugh at some of the stuff he did at the same time and Bloo's comment "Two boys can hug" made me chuckle as well. My overall review for this episode is a 7 out of ten. This episode was pretty decent, honestly. It DID have its moments, but it wasn't the best I've seen of Foster's, either.

Oh episode, you twist and turn like a... twisty-turny thing.
I thought this was yet another great outing, with many humorous character moments. Paranoid Mac, Bloo the "evil genius", Wilt: Guardian of Mother Earth, awkward displays of affection and well Eduardo being well...Eduardo. Just to name a few.

This one... HURT. A lot. (Just downloaded it...) I'm sorry, but is that good or bad? It was not all right how Bloo kept embarrassing Mac every year with his surprise parties. Come on Bloo! Mac's your best friend! Bloo was very very cruel. But I have to say he was genius.
