Ugh! Youtube has gone through a "spring cleaning". Hopefully your videos are safe taranchula, but mine have all disappeared! I'm transfering mine over to Google Video, then I'll update the links above. Oh, and I should have a new video uploaded sometime tonight. This one's set to, "Imaginary Friends", by Nada Surf. I bet you're all wondering why I chose that one, huh.

Ugh! Youtube has gone through a "spring cleaning". Hopefully your videos are safe taranchula, but mine have all disappeared! ...They deleted them?? I've been reading about copyright laws and there's this "fair use" thing that says that you can upload CLIPS of a complete program (such as a single news segment from a 20/20-type show) and that's okay. You're just not suppsoed to upload something in its entirety. Surely a video made of lots of clips is "fair use?""

It's weird, that's for sure. Copyright laws specify that as long as the amount of video shown is no longer than 10% of the entire program (or 30 seconds or it, which ever is less). None of my clips are over 30 seconds long, either. But, come to think of it, the email I recieved said that a "third party" had contacted them about my supposed copyright infringment. I have a feeling they probably saw that it was clips from a TV show and just decided to delete it without fully weighing whether or not it was in bounds of fair use. I guess someone must have really hated all of my videos.

Well some people really just have nothing better to do. There was someone who threatened me, claiming that they were trying to get my Foster's site shut down, using the fact that I post screengrabs as their evidence that I was "breaking the law". But again, "fair use" dictates that posting screencaps isn't a copyright violation. (And yeah, that's how I found out, because of that moron.) I hope it wasn't that same guy, out to spoil the lives of *every* Foster's fan just because they have issues. Maybe I shouldn't have posted links to you guys' videos on my site. That's probably how your vids got reported, because someone was visiting the vids from my Links page. In that case, everyone's vids were probably reported.

(I guess they just love me more or something ) I can't see why anyone would have a problem with something like this, it's free advertising as far as I am concerned. After hearing this, maybe I should hold off on on making another Foster's music video for the time being until this blows over. (Then again after the sheer brilliance of "Break My Stride" it might be for the best, I don't know how I am ever going to top that. )

I think that it's safe to say that, when it comes to Foster's video, you're the king.

Ok guys and gals, I ended up having to use Youtube again (it's the only hosting site that works, dang gummit!). Watch it before it goes away... youtube.com/watch?v=oqU4nY_V3FkIt may not be a great video, but the song should be enough for you guys to check out. I mean, it's called "Imaginary Friends". By the way, CG, that Wilt video is fantastic! Welcome to the club!

Links to both new videos have been added to my site. I left all your links up though emma, even if (as you say - I haven't actually checked) they don't all work. Hopefully you'll get them reuploaded somewhere else and then I'll update the links.

I've noticed some interesting sites have linked my videos from Youtube, "Dare to be Stupid" ended up on a Doodlebops forum of all places, I couldn't see what context it was used in, because they want you the join the forum before you can read any messages, obviously I declined that offer.

Congrats, man!! EDIT: Man, my "Imaginary Friends" video has got some links as well. The bizarrest one belonging to a self-titled "ghetto" myspace. I didn't know they watched Foster's in da hood. They do. The reason that I became aware of all the bandwidth theft my site was experiencing due to people hotlinking my Foster's screencaps wasn't because of TV.com, or toonzone.net, or anyplace like that - it was actually myspace. The myspacer's hotlink my screencaps DAILY (even now, though it doesn't affect my bandwidth anymore). When I was tracing all the pages that were hotlinking dozens of caps, they all looked like basically self-proclaimed "ghetto" myspace accounts. So yes. Yes, da hood is greatly influenced by Foster's. Ha ha, I'm gonna tell Craig McC that if I get to meet him at the Comic Con.
