Does anyone else ever wonder what happened to Red? I mean, it's not a question that keeps me up at night, but for some reason I can't help but think he was discarded a bit too quickly. For some reason I would've liked to have seen a bit more of a "brother" like relationship between him and Bloo with the tables being turned (what with Red being the sweet, kind one and Bloo being the bully, with the opposite being for the two's creators), though Cheese seems to have kind of stolen that whole shtick from him.
I dunno........I just can't help but wonder what happened to the poor guy, as I actually think that there could've been some genuinely entertaining moments between him and Bloo.

Oh dear. Supporting Cast methinks is where this post goes.

I like to believe that he's living at Foster's, helping Frankie with the gardening, and we just never see him. He's the one-shot I'd most like to see again sometime.

Oh dear. Supporting Cast methinks is where this post goes. True. My mistake. And of course I'm certain he's still at Foster's, and I'd like to think he's doing something productive there that kind of balances out Bloo's counterproductivity. And I agree, of course: of all the one-shots there've been, I'd like to see him the most. Yet I still kinda doubt it since Cheese, in my mind, has basically usurped the niche I think Red would've fulfilled.

Better Cheese than Ivan.

Oh, I can agree with that, even if I did like Ivan's voice actor.
Seriously, though.........Ivan as a regular would've been terrible, and I agree that Cheese is much more tolerable than Ivan. And I don't want to sound critical of Cheese, as I've come to like him a lot more after "Infernal Slumber" (as I'm repeating yet again), it's just that I feel that he's basically taken the "brother" relationship (which he and Bloo still seem to actually kind of have as evidenced in "Infernal Slumber" with the Smoothy scene) that Red possibly could've fulfilled.
Ah well, there's always hope for the future. ;D

All three together - Bloo, Cheese, and Red - has some interesting possibilities...
Red: "Me Red." Cheese: "Hello doggie." Bloo: "Aaaaaaargh!!!"
;D

I can see him and Ed getting along, personally. Both seem big and intimidating yet they're big softies at heart. ...now I wanna draw the two tending flowers. Ed being terrified of watering them and Red's all 'Flowers Red's friends! ;D'

I have a serious weak spot for those "brother" relationships and I "Awww" insanely during both Seeing Red and Mac Daddy (and also the smoothie scene in Infernal Slumber, because it was kind of cute). And so I do feel sad that Red never returned, because he was just so sweet. I, too, like to think he spends his days at Foster's tending the garden, or something similar. Or got adopted by some sweet little girl who wants to grow up to be a herbologist. Either one, really.
Hmm, now that I think about it...if Cheese was supposedly Bloo's brother, wouldn't that make Red Bloo's cousin, instead?

Well look at it this way; Imaginary Man and Nemis(Sister) were created by brother and sister. But they refer to each other as brother and sister too.
Does that make Red Bloo's actual brother, or whuuuaaahhh?? I think not really. I see Red being Bloo's lil' cousin who happens to have the power to pummel you but is too busy picking flowers to do it. XD

I'd be surprised if we saw Red again. We asked Lauren in a Q&A on tv.com once if he was going to come back and she said there were no specific plans to put him in another ep, but if they were writing an ep and it seemed like he'd fit in then they'd do it. On the other hand someone asked them (I think this was during the panel - I forget already, but I know this happened somewhere) if they were going to use Cheese very much in the future and the answer was a quick "as often as we CAN!". It's possible Red will show up in a two-second cameo in order to perform some sort of background gag or something, but I really don't think we'll see him as part of an actual plot. To me, he seems too *important* a character to just throw away like that, but I guess the writers simply don't feel the same way.

Man...all this talk of Cheese is making me really nervous. I'm hoping The Big Cheese is his last apperance for at least a few more seasons...

Poor Red. I really liked him. I drew him crying, with Bloo comforting him...
What a sweetheart, though. x3

Red always struck me as being like the Incredible Hulk, in that he's violent by nature but misunderstood.
