That funny bunny one is funny. I have a question, what program do you need to make avtars and what extra equipment/ downloaded things do you need. Oooo, I'd like to know that, too.

I'm being asked a lot of technical questions over the past few days. Well for a animation avatar like I make I use a only one program. In fact for all of them. The two programs I use are Adobe ImageReady 7.0 and RealPlayer. I have my computer settings set so I can take pictures of video files, be them DVD, avi, mp3, mp4, anything. I play the episode on RealPlayer and I unfortunately don't really have any other way of making them besides CtrlP and CtrlP to pause and unpause and repause again when I'm doing an animation. I know there are programs out there that allow you to select a slot of animation and minimize, but I just don't know what program it is. I just go with the old and simple technique of pausing as many shots as I can, even out of sync if I miss a frame, and go back and readjust the layers in ImageReady until it plays better. It's a lot of work especially when it's a long request like the Funny Bunny one. 45 layers and I missed a lot so I had to go back.

Oh CG, you know what's a good program for avatars? ACA Capture Pro (http://www.acasystems.com/) It works so perfectly. I use that, and Animation Shop for all the GIFS I make.
That and I was wondering, would it be cool if we "donated" skins and such to you?

My word! I'm being asked a lot of technical questions over the past few days. Now teach all of us to make music videos. ;D ;D ;D Well, it would appear that it takes a lot of hard work and planning. Scripting out what segment goes with what song lyric. But honestlly, the best choices I've made for mine have been spur of the moment what works. Some people just throw in clips that don't even remotely go with the lyrics. Those are lazy people. The BEST kind of music vids are those that flow smoothly, and imagery matches music. I use Window Movie Maker, the only program I have at my disposal. Having downloaded a lot of Foster's episodes I have a biiig library of clips to use. But it's a matter of practically memorizing episodes for small moments and details that would work. Sometimes music vids go easy, such as my Slumber Party, Baby took me only three days tops. While my first one (Wilt, Ordinary Day) took me a whole week. But it's rewarding at the end of it all when people appreciate my work. Makes me feel important. Oh CG, you know what's a good program for avatars? ACA Capture Pro (http://www.acasystems.com/) It works so perfectly. I use that, and Animation Shop for all the GIFS I make. That and I was wondering, would it be cool if we "donated" skins and such to you? Ah, I shall look into testing out that program. Thanks rukfit. And yes, it would be okay to donate skins. All I need really is a background, suggested skin colour and a top banner that is the same dimensions as the ones I've been updating with. (see Wilt, Coco and Duchess for examples of size) It's probably best to either personal message me the image URL's, or e-mail.

Thanks for the Funny Bunny avatar! I can finally replace the blurry screenshot of Handy from BFAHP.

I could donate the skin I made for my forum way back when. It was black and grey with orange and white text.
Dunno what you'd call it though (seems like you're going for a Foster's theme skin-wise)

I have a request for an avatar, the scene with wilt and the alien dancing in one false movie, it'll take a long time to make so you should maybe only do a little section of it.

Regarding skins you guys, remember that we *are* moving to vBulletin soonish. If CG puts a lot of work into making skins here, no one will be able to even use them once we move. I'm pretty sure you can make skins for vBulletin too, but CG will have to learn how to do that before making any (I personally haven't even looked at that part of the manual) , and that won't be until after we move of course. I just wanted to point that out - the avatars and smilies are tranferrable, but the skins are not.

Well hmm. You can still use custom banners/backgrounds with vBulletin, right? That and they have more options for what you want to customize... Maybe I'll just wait until we move before bugging CG with my 'donations.'

I've done a few before and from what I remember, the banner size is really close to your average tv.com banner. I *think* you can also use ones that are smaller than the standard size... but don't quote me on any of this, it's been a while since I've done something like that.

Sorry to ask this, could lead to off-topic-ness, but what's vBulletin and why are we moving there?
