Well, I can see the appeal. They're both cute and even though we may disagree on what kind of relationship they do/will have, they love each other, amiright? I mean, it makes me hurt when Mac is paired up with unknown original female characters, so at least Mac and Bloo have something to go off of.... Still, I disagree with the pairing for the simple fact that I see them as brothers, not lovers. Also, Bloo tends to be cast into the role of the 'girl' many times, and he acts really creepy... And all the Elricest out there makes me not want to see people I see as brothers paired like that...*shivers at the thought of Ed and Al making out* This wasn't an assault on your interests, labloogirl! Please don't be mad at me!

Wait, Bloo the girl? I mean, I know he's probably the closest of the two of them to actually being one, but..... buh? He would totally wear the tux.

Have you ever read the fics? He takes the 'female' role, in my opinion.

Please don't be mad at me! And that is the controversy right there....because some do feel it's not right cause they'd be related. I disagree (and this is only my opinion, mind you), because I don't see how they could be blood related. They could be figuratively related, or even related as in the way step-brothers are, like someone married into the family. But real incest would require two blood-related individuals, as far as I see it, and they are NOT blood-related. Unless, of course, Craig is suggesting that when an Imaginary is created, they are of the same blood as their creators and so therefore they are indeed related. If that is the case, then I relinquish what I said. Even so, whether or not they would be related in the show, they are not related to me or in my fics, and that's what counts. And no, I wouldn't be mad, cause you are entitled to your own opinions, especially when you respond in a kind manner and take in account the other person's feelings. I only get upset when the opposite happens, obviously. (Which has happened all too often but I'd be repeating myself again...)

Well, he shouldn't. *sulks petulantly* It can't be helped, kageri. I mean Bloo even wanted Mac to help him pick out tiles for the "master bathroom" in one episode we all know. They are PURPOSEFULLY making him seem feminine, and even I have to question why. ::pauses:: And please let NOT that statement spark arguments like, "Oh and so men can't choose tiles for the bathroom too??" Sure they can, it's just that to me they seem to be emphasizing things like that a lot. At the same time, they do things like show Bloo's attraction to Frankie. So we get both sides of it.... Ah HA! Maybe this means Bloo is... BISEXUAL! XD

Ah HA! Maybe this means Bloo is... BISEXUAL! XD Or he is..... SECRETLY A GIRL! =O Sure they can, it's just that to me they seem to be emphasizing things like that a lot. That's strange, I never really notice things like that. I noticed the thing about how pretty he thought the flowers are, but that's about it. I feel dumb, I don't remember what episode the tile thing is from...

...They are PURPOSEFULLY making him seem feminine... Little kids think its funny when a Guy acts like a girl. I did when I was little. I don't think you have to put much thought into this one... It will just mess the brain ;)

Well, no one can really argue Bloo ISN'T femanine. I mean, listen to his VOICE! What I meant by that was he acts a bit TOO girly. And, Bloo tends to act a bit lusty as well.
That's really my big problem with most gay or even straight character pairings that were not planned by the creators. They always feel like nothing but lust, and loose their beauty. Mac and Bloo have something beautiful in the show: an unbreakable bond between them. Call it 'love', call it 'brotherhood', call it 'friendship'. The moment they start kissing, it just feels...wrong.
I didn't mean to say that MacxBloo is necisarily INCEST, it just feels like it to me.

I don't think Bloo's voice sounds feminine, personally, just uh.... Bloo-ish. See, you know a voice actor's doing a good job when the only word you can think of to describe their voice includes the character's name itself.
I don't think it's really incest either, since they're obviously not related by blood (actually I just made that up, pretty much, but we haven't seen any evidence that they are, so I'm sticking with it), although they do seem like brothers. Not brother-ladies, just the regular kind.
I still, however, think their relationship involves love. Of some kind.
You know it's occurred to me that I've argued about this (although I'm not trying to argue right now, this is just a passive conversation, but that's not really the point) about a frillion times, and each time I say basically the same things but with different analogies. I guess I'm just adopting, now, more of an I-don't-care-really-just-do-whatever attitude. Which makes me a little sad inside because I'm supposed to be loud and opinionated.

Eh, I just think it means you like me. ;D (As a friend.) I can start off a bit argumentative with some people, heck I admit that, then really like them later on. This has happened with you, but I think it's really because we're both Mac n' Bloo fans, even if for different reasons. The part about their being love between them, of SOME kind, is a good statement. I will say for the frillionth time too that I HIGHLY DOUBT the writers are ever truly hinting at MacxBloo, but rather they are showing the deep and close bond Mac has (and only Mac) with his little Blooregard. So... ::thinks a long moment::.....I've run out of things to say on this topic, amazingly enough. Plus I think this poor topic is getting a little...off topic? ::grins meekly at Sparky:: Me sowwy.

Aww, I'm glad of that, because I was thinking you'd by now be pretty irritated at people like me for giving you the same argument over and over, even though when this subject pops up I can't help but barge in and be like "HEY HELLO HERE ARE MY TWO CENTS IF YOU WANTED TO KNOW".
I mean, I thought you'd be like the other squee-ing obsessive fangirls getting their panties in a bunch when people disagree with them and trying to convert people and get you to buy their cookies (Thin Mints, special YAOI edition), but I was wrong (why do you people keep giving me a reason to say that...).
I agree wholeheartedly, I think it's awesome how the writers show the bond between Mac and Bloo. At first I thought it'd be like a lot of cartoon relationships, touched upon in the very first episode and then in the following ones you always wonder why the one kid is following the other kid around; because they never reinforce that they're friends. And I'm glad that other fans see it too, no matter what they do with it.

Sorry, I shouldn't have carried this on...
I just feel strongly about relationships of that sort because of the 'Elricest' pairing...
